THERAPEUTIC GOODS ACT 1989 No. 21 of 1990 - SECT 4

4. The object of this Act is to provide, so far as the Constitution permits,
for the establishment and maintenance of a national system of controls
relating to the quality, safety and efficacy of therapeutic goods that:

   (a)  are used in Australia, whether those goods are produced in Australia
        or elsewhere; or

   (b)  are exported from Australia.
