TERTIARY EDUCATION COMMISSION ACT 1977 No. 25 of 1977 - SECT 31

31. (1) The Governor-General may terminate the appointment of a member by
reason of the misbehaviour, or the physical or mental incapacity, of the
member.

(2) If a member-

   (a)  is absent, except with the permission of the Minister, from 3
        consecutive meetings of the Council of which he is a member; or

   (b)  becomes bankrupt, applies to take the benefit of any law for the
        relief of bankrupt or insolvent debtors, compounds with his creditors
        or makes an assignment of his remuneration for their benefit, the
        Governor-General shall terminate the appointment of the member.
