TERTIARY EDUCATION COMMISSION ACT 1977 No. 25 of 1977 - SECT 11

11. (1) A full-time Commissioner shall be appointed for such period, not
exceeding 7 years, as is specified in the instrument of his appointment, but
is eligible for re-appointment.

(2) A part-time Commissioner shall be appointed for such period, not exceeding
3 years, as is specified in the instrument of his appointment, but is eligible
for re-appointment.

(3) A person who has attained the age of 65 years shall not be appointed or
re-appointed as a full-time Commissioner and a person shall not be appointed
or re-appointed as a full-time Commissioner for a period that extends beyond
the date on which he will attain the age of 65 years.
