TELECOMMUNICATIONS ACT 1975 No. 55 of 1975 - SECT 55

55. (1) If, at any time, the Commission finds that a greater number of
officers occupying positions of a particular classification is employed than
is necessary for the efficient working of the Service, an officer whom the
Commission finds to be in excess may be transferred to such other position of
equal classification as the officer is competent to fill, and, if no such
position is available, the officer may be transferred to a position of lower
classification.

(2) If no position is available for the officer, the Commission may retire him
from the Service.

(3) The regulations shall make provision for and in relation to the review of
a decision of the Commission under this section upon application by an officer
affected by it.
