SOCIAL SECURITY LEGISLATION AMENDMENT ACT 1990 No. 6, 1991 - SECT 49

49. Section 125 of the Principal Act is amended:

   (a)  by inserting after paragraph (1) (a) the following paragraph:
  "(aa)   in a case where none of the later paragraphs of this subsection
applies and the Secretary is satisfied that the person would suffer severe
financial hardship if the benefit were paid under paragraph (a) - from and
including the day on which the person became unemployed or the day on which
the person made a claim for the benefit, whichever was the later; and";
(b) by inserting in subsection (2aa) "(aa)," after "Paragraph (1)";

   (c)  by omitting from subsection (4) "If" and substituting "Subject to
        section 117aa, if".
