SOCIAL SECURITY LEGISLATION AMENDMENT ACT 1982 No. 98, 1982 - SECT 110

110. Section 39 of the Principal Act is amended-

(a) by omitting from sub-section (2) ''The Division'' and substituting
''Subject to sub-section (2A), the Division''; and

   (b)  by inserting after sub-section (2) the following sub-section:

''(2A) Where-

   (a)  a payment by way of compensation was made to a person before the
        commencement of this section in respect of an incapacity of the
        person; and

   (b)  a sickness benefit in respect of that incapacity becomes payable to
        the person after the commencement of this section,

the Division set out in sub-section (1) applies to, and in relation to, that
payment by way of compensation.''.
