SOCIAL SECURITY AND VETERANS' AFFAIRS LEGISLATION AMENDMENT ACT 1990 No. 56, 1990 - SECT 27

27. Section 4 of the Principal Act is amended:
     (a) by inserting in subsection (1) "having a dependent child or
children"
after "a person";

   (b)  by omitting paragraph (1) (a) and substituting the following
        paragraph:

"(a) the child, or each of the children, stops being a dependent child; or";

   (c)  by omitting paragraph (a) of the definition of "dependent child" in
        subsection (5) and substituting the following paragraph:

"(a) in relation to the operation of the Social Security Act 1947-a person who
has turned 18 and who is a prescribed student child within the meaning of that
Act as amended by this Act; and".
