SOCIAL SECURITY ACT 1991 No. 46, 1991 - SECT 879

879. If:

   (a)  a person or approved care organisation who is receiving family
        allowance is given a notice under section 873; and

   (b)  the notice requires the person or organisation to inform the
        Department of the occurrence of an event or change in circumstances
        within a specified
period (in this section called the "notification period"); and

   (c)  the event or change in circumstances occurs; and

   (d)  the person or organisation does not inform the Department of the
        occurrence of the event or change in circumstances within the
        notification period in accordance with the notice; and

   (e)  because of the occurrence of the event or change in circumstances, the
        person's rate of allowance is to be reduced; the allowance becomes
        payable to the person or organisation at the reduced rate immediately
        after the day on which the event or change in circumstances occurs.
