SOCIAL SECURITY ACT 1991 No. 46, 1991 - SECT 34

34. Where a home:

   (a)  is conducted for benevolent purposes; and

   (b)  is wholly or partly maintained by contributions from:

   (i)  the Consolidated Revenue Fund of the Commonwealth; or

   (ii) the consolidated revenue of a State or of the Australian Capital
        Territory or the Northern Territory; the Secretary may approve the
        home for the purposes of this Act. Note: benevolent homes may receive
        pension payments on behalf of inmates in some cases - see section 60,
        113, 164, 274 or 381.
