SOCIAL SECURITY ACT 1991 No. 46, 1991 - SECT 1339

Fees for witnesses
1339. (1) If a person appears before the Social Security Appeals Tribunal as a
witness at the request of the National Convener, the person is entitled to be
paid, in respect of the person's attendance, fees and allowances ascertained
in accordance with a determination under subsection (2).

(2) The Minister may determine the amounts of fees and allowances to be paid
under subsection (1).

(3) A determination under subsection (2) must be in writing and is a
disallowable instrument for the purposes of section 46A of the Acts 
Interpretation Act 1901 .

(4) The fees and allowances referred to in subsection (1) are to be paid by
the Commonwealth.
