SOUTH PACIFIC NUCLEAR FREE ZONE TREATY ACT 1986 No. 140, 1986 - SECT 19

19. (1) Where the Minister is satisfied that a person has, in accordance with
Annex 4 to the Treaty, been appointed as a special inspector for the purpose
of investigating a complaint brought against Australia pursuant to the Treaty,
the Minister shall, in writing, declare the person to be a Treaty inspector
for the purposes of this Act.

(2) Where the Minister declares a person to be a Treaty inspector for the
purposes of this Act, the Minister shall give the person a copy of the
declaration.

(3) The Minister may, in writing, appoint a person as an authorised officer
for the purpose of this Act.

(4) The Minister may, in the Minister's discretion-

   (a)  determine terms and conditions of appointment, including remuneration
        and allowances, of a person appointed under sub-section (3); and

   (b)  at any time terminate such an appointment.
