STATUTE LAW (MISCELLANEOUS PROVISIONS) ACT (No. 1) 1985 No. 65, 1985 - SECT 6

6. (1) Where, immediately before the commencement of this section, a person
was acting as the Director of the Australian Institute of Marine Science by
virtue of an appointment under section 30 of the Principal Act, then,
notwithstanding the repeal of that section effected by this Act, that section
continues to apply to and in relation to the person as if that repeal had not
been effected.

(2) Notwithstanding the amendment of section 33 of the Principal Act made by
this Act, that section of the Principal Act continues to apply to a person
appointed under that section before the commencement of this section as if
that amendment had not been made.

(3) In this section, "Principal Act" means the Australian Institute of
Marine Science Act 1972 as amended and in force immediately before the
commencement of this section.
