STATUTE LAW (MISCELLANEOUS AMENDMENTS) ACT (No. 2) 1982 No. 80, 1982 - SECT 279

279. Section 34 of the Principal Act is amended by omitting sub-section (1)
and substituting the following sub-section:

''(1) Where-

   (a)  the President is, or is expected to be, absent from duty; or

   (b)  there is, or is expected to be, a vacancy in the office of President,
        the Attorney-General may appoint a Deputy President or an acting
        Deputy President to act as President during the absence, or while
        there is a vacancy in the office of President, as the case may be.''.
