STATUTE LAW (MISCELLANEOUS AMENDMENTS) ACT (No. 1) 1982 No. 26, 1982 - SECT 69

69. (1) The person who, immediately before the commencement of this Part, held
office as Chief Judge of the Australian Capital Territory Supreme Court shall,
subject to the Principal Act as amended by this Part, hold office after the
commencement of this Part as Chief Justice of the Australian Capital Territory
Supreme Court.

(2) A reference in any Act, or in any instrument (including rules, regulations
and by-laws) made, granted or issued pursuant to any Act, to the Chief Judge
of the Australian Capital Territory Supreme Court shall, in relation to any
act or thing done or to be done after the commencement of this Part, be read
as a reference to the Chief Justice of the Australian Capital Territory
Supreme Court.

(3) For the purposes of the operation of any Act (other than the Australian
Capital Territory Supreme Court Act 1933), the person from time to time
holding the office of Chief Justice of the Australian Capital Territory
Supreme Court shall be taken to be a Judge of that Court.
