STATES GRANTS (TECHNICAL AND FURTHER EDUCATION) AMENDMENT ACT (No.2) 1976 No. 132, 1976 An Act to amend the States Grants (Technical and Further Education) Act 1974. BE IT ENACTED by the Queen, and the Senate and House of Representatives of the Commonwealth of Australia, as follows:- Short title, &c. 1. (1) This Act may be cited as the States Grants (Technical and Further Education) Amendment Act (No. 2) 1976.*1* (2) The States Grants (Technical and Further Education) Act 1974*2* is in this Act referred to as the Principal Act. STATES GRANTS (TECHNICAL AND FURTHER EDUCATION) AMENDMENT ACT (No. 2) 1976 No. 132, 1976 - SECT 2 Commencement. 2. This Act shall come into operation on the day on which it receives the Royal Assent.*1* STATES GRANTS (TECHNICAL AND FURTHER EDUCATION) AMENDMENT ACT (No. 2) 1976 No. 132, 1976 - SECT 3 Grants for student residence building projects. 3. Section 10 of the Principal Act is amended by omitting from sub-section (3) the figures ''$4,000,000'' and substituting the figures ''$4,360,000''. STATES GRANTS (TECHNICAL AND FURTHER EDUCATION) AMENDMENT ACT (No. 2) 1976 No. 132, 1976 - SECT 4 Grants for recurrent expenditure. 4. Section 12 of the Principal Act is amended- (a) by omitting the words '', in a year to which this Act applies,''; and (b) by omitting the words ''that year'' and substituting the words ''a year to which this Act applies''. STATES GRANTS (TECHNICAL AND FURTHER EDUCATION) AMENDMENT ACT (No. 2) 1976 No. 132, 1976 - SECT 5 Grants for recurrent expenditure in connexion with programs of expenditure for particular purposes. 5. Section 15 of the Principal Act is amended by omitting from sub-sections (1) and (2) the words ''in a year'' and substituting the words ''in respect of a year''. STATES GRANTS (TECHNICAL AND FURTHER EDUCATION) AMENDMENT ACT (No. 2) 1976 No. 132, 1976 - SECT 6 Grants for recurrent expenditure in connexion with inservice teacher training programs. 6. Section 18 of the Principal Act is amended by omitting from sub-sections (1) and (2) the words ''in a year'' and substituting the words ''in respect of a year''.
