STATES GRANTS (SCHOOLS ASSISTANCE) AMENDMENT ACT 1990 No. 1, 1991 - SECT 9

9. Section 17 of the Principal Act is amended:
(a) by omitting from subsection (1) all the words from and including "a
program year" and substituting "the program year 1989 or 1990 some or all of
the amounts set out in columns 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 of Part 1 or Part 2 of
Schedule 5 respectively.";

   (b)  by inserting after subsection (1) the following subsection:

"(1A) Subject to subsection (2), the Minister may, by determination in
writing, vary during the program year 1991 or a later program year some or all
of the amounts set out, opposite the name of a State, in columns 2, 3 and 4 of
the part of Schedule 5 that relates to the year.".
