RACIAL DISCRIMINATION ACT 1975 No. 52, 1975 - SECT 43

Meetings of Council.
43. (1) The Chairman, or, if the Chairman is unavailable, the Deputy Chairman,
may convene meetings of the Council.

(2) At a meeting of the Council, 6 members constitute a quorum.

(3) The Chairman shall preside at all meetings of the Council at which he is
present.

(4) If the Chairman is not present at a meeting of the Council but the
Deputy Chairman is present, the Deputy Chairman shall preside at the meeting.

(5) If the Chairman and the Deputy Chairman are not present at a meeting of
the Council, the members present shall appoint one of their number to preside
at the meeting.

(6) Questions arising at a meeting of the Council shall be decided by a
majority of the votes of the members present and voting.

(7) The member presiding at a meeting of the Council has a deliberative vote
and, in the event of an equality of votes, also has a casting vote.

(8) The Council shall cause records to be kept of its meetings.
