PUBLIC SERVICE AMENDMENT ACT 1978 No. 170, 1978 - SECT 3

3. Section 7 of the Principal Act is amended by inserting after the
definition of ''Chief Officer'' the following definition:

'' 'criminal offence' means-

   (a)  an offence against the law of the Commonwealth or of a State or
        Territory; or

   (b)  an offence against a law of, or of a part of, a foreign country, being
        an offence of a kind which, if committed in, or within the
        jurisdiction of, a State or Territory, would constitute an offence
        against the law of the Commonwealth or of that State or Territory;''.
