PRICES SURVEILLANCE ACT 1983 No. 145, 1983 - SECT 51

51. (1) Notwithstanding the repeal effected by section 47, the provisions of
section 36 of the repealed Act continue to operate in relation to a person
who, immediately before the commencement of this Act, was a person to whom
that section applied.

(2) Section 36 of the repealed Act, as continued in operation by sub-section
(1), does not prohibit-

   (a)  the transfer of records to the Authority as required by section 50; or

   (b)  a person from divulging or communicating information or producing a
        document to-

        (i)    a member or associate member;

        (ii)   a member of the staff of the Authority; or

        (iii)  an officer of the Department.

(3) Section 34A of the Prices Justification Act 1973, as continued in
operation by sub-section 234 (1) of the Statutes Review Act, does not
prohibit-

   (a)  the transfer of records to the Authority as required by section 50; or

   (b)  a person from divulging or communicating information or producing a
        document (being information or a document relating to the supply of
        goods or services) to-

        (i)    a member or associate member;

        (ii)   a member of the staff of the Authority; or

        (iii)  an officer of the Department.
