PRICES SURVEILLANCE ACT 1983 No. 145, 1983 - SECT 41

41. (1) The staff required to assist the Authority in the performance of its
functions shall be persons appointed or employed under the Public Service Act
1922.

(2) The Chairman has all the powers of, or exercisable by, a Permanent Head
under the Public Service Act 1922, so far as relates to the branch of the
Australian Public Service comprising the staff referred to in sub-section (1),
as if that branch were a separate Department of the Australian Public Service.

(3) The use by members and associate members of the services of the staff
referred to in sub-section (1) is subject to the control of the Chairman.
