PRICES SURVEILLANCE ACT 1983 No. 145, 1983 - SECT 4

4. (1) Subject to sub-section (2), this Act applies in relation to the supply
of goods or services-

   (a)  by a Commonwealth authority;

   (b)  by a foreign corporation;

   (c)  by a trading corporation in the course of, or for the purposes of, its
        trading operations;

   (d)  by a financial corporation in the course of, or for the purposes of,
        its business operations;

   (e)  by a body corporate incorporated in a Territory (other than the
        Northern Territory or Norfolk Island);

   (f)  in an internal Territory (other than the Northern Territory); or

   (g)  in the course of, or in connection with, trade or commerce-

        (i)    among the States;

        (ii)   between a State and an internal Territory; or

        (iii)  between 2 internal Territories,
and not otherwise.

(2) This Act does not apply in relation to the supply of goods or services by
a prescribed authority.
