PROTECTION OF THE SEA (CIVIL LIABILITY) ACT 1981 No. 31, 1981 - SECT 2

2. (1) This Act shall come into operation on a date to be fixed by
Proclamation.

(2) The date fixed under sub-section (1) shall not be a date earlier than the
date on which the International Convention on Civil Liability for Oil
Pollution Damage comes into force for Australia.
