PRIVACY ACT 1988 No. 119, 1988 - SECT 65

Failure to attend etc. before Commissioner
65. (1) A person shall not, without reasonable excuse:

   (a)  refuse or fail to attend before the Commissioner; or

   (b)  refuse or fail to be sworn or make an affirmation; when so required
        under this Act.
Penalty: $2,000 or imprisonment for 12 months, or both.

(2) A person shall not, without reasonable excuse, wilfully obstruct, hinder
or resist the Commissioner in the performance of his or her functions under
this Act.
Penalty: $2,000 or imprisonment for 12 months, or both.

(3) A person shall not furnish information or make a statement to the
Commissioner knowing that it is false or misleading in a material particular.
Penalty: $2,000 or imprisonment for 12 months, or both.
