PRIVACY ACT 1988 No. 119, 1988 - SECT 56

Obligations of principal executive of agency
56. Where a determination to which this Division applies is made on a
complaint to which the principal executive of an agency is the respondent, the
respondent shall take all such steps as are reasonably within his or her power
to ensure that:

   (a)  the terms of the determination are brought to the notice of all
        members, officers and employees of the agency whose duties are such
        that they may engage in conduct of the kind to which the determination
        relates;

   (b)  conduct the subject of a declaration included in the determination
        under subparagraph 52 (1) (b) (i) is not repeated or continued by any
        member, officer or employee of the agency; and

   (c)  any act or course of conduct the subject of a declaration included in
        the determination under subparagraph 52 (1) (b) (ii) is performed in
        accordance with the determination.
