OFFSHORE MINERALS ACT 1994 No. 28, 1994 - SECT 31

31.(1) All courts must take judicial notice of:

   (a)  the signature of a person who is, or has been:

        (i)    the Designated Authority for a
               Commonwealth-State offshore area; or

        (ii)   a delegate of the Designated Authority for a Commonwealth-State
               offshore area; or

        (iii)  a State Minister acting on behalf of the responsible State
               Minister under subsection 30(2); and

   (b)  the fact that that person is, or was:

        (i)    the Designated Authority for that offshore area; or

        (ii)   acting on behalf of the responsible State Minister under
               subsection 30(2).

(2) All courts must take judicial notice of:

   (a)  the signature of a person who is, or has been:

        (i)    the Designated Authority for an external offshore area; or

        (ii)   a delegate of the Designated Authority for an
               external territory offshore area; or

        (iii)  a Commonwealth Minister acting on behalf of the responsible
               Commonwealth Minister under subsection 30(4); and

   (b)  the fact that that person is, or was:

        (i)    the Designated Authority for that offshore area; or

        (ii)   acting on behalf of the responsible Commonwealth Minister under
               subsection 30(4).
