OFFSHORE MINERALS ACT 1994 No. 28, 1994 - SECT 249

249.(1) If the licence holder makes a request under section 247 or 248, the
holder may ask the Designated Authority to extend the primary payment period.

(2) The request must be made within 30 days after the day on which the holder
is given notice under section 246.

(3) If the Designated Authority agrees to the request, the Designated
Authority must:

   (a)  determine the period of the extension in writing; and

   (b)  give the holder a written notice informing the holder of the period of
        the extension.
