NATURAL HERITAGE TRUST OF AUSTRALIA ACT 1997 No. 76, 1997 - SECT 3

The following is a simplified outline of this Act:
. This Act establishes the Natural Heritage Trust of Australia Reserve.
. The main source of money for the Reserve will be $1.1 billion from the
partial privatisation of Telstra.
. The main objective of the establishment of the Reserve is to conserve,
repair and replenish Australia's natural capital infrastructure.
. Money in the Reserve will be spent on the environment, sustainable
agriculture and natural resources management.
. The Natural Heritage Trust Advisory Committee is established.
