NATIONAL GALLERY ACT 1975 No. 61, 1975 - SECT 4

PART II-THE AUSTRALIAN NATIONAL GALLERY
4. (1) There is hereby established an Australian National Gallery.

(2) The Gallery-

   (a)  is a body corporate;

   (b)  shall have a seal;

   (c)  may acquire, hold and dispose of real and personal property; and

   (d)  may sue or be sued in its corporate name.

(3) The seal of the Gallery shall be kept in such custody as the Council
directs and shall not be used except as authorized by the Council.

(4) All courts, judges and persons acting judicially shall take judicial
notice of the seal of the Gallery affixed to a document and shall presume that
it was duly affixed.
