NATIONAL DISABILITY INSURANCE SCHEME ACT 2013 (NO. 20, 2013) - SECT 63

Offence--soliciting disclosure of protected information

                   A person (the first person ) commits an offence if:

                     (a)  the first person solicits the disclosure of information from an officer or another person, whether or not any protected information is actually disclosed; and

                     (b)  the disclosure would be in contravention of this Part; and

                     (c)  the information is protected information.

Penalty:  Imprisonment for 2 years or 120 penalty units, or both.

Note:          If a body corporate is convicted of an offence against this section, subsection 4B(3) of the Crimes Act 1914 allows a court to impose a fine of up to 5 times the pecuniary penalty stated above.
