NATIONAL CRIME AUTHORITY ACT 1984 No. 41, 1984 - SECT 48

48. (1) The Chairman may, on behalf of the Commonwealth and with the approval
of the Minister or of an authorized person, engage, under agreements in
writing, persons having suitable qualifications and experience as consultants
to, or to perform services for, the Authority.

(2) The terms and conditions of engagement of persons engaged under
sub-section (1) are such as are from time to time determined by the Chairman
with the approval of the Minister or of an authorized person.

(3) In this section-

   (a)  a reference to the Chairman shall, if a person is acting as Chairman,
        be construed as a reference to the person so acting; and

   (b)  a reference to an authorized person is a reference to a person
        authorized by the Minister, by writing under his hand, to grant
        approvals on behalf of the Minister under this section.
