NATIONAL CRIME AUTHORITY ACT 1984 No. 41, 1984 - SECT 46

Meetings of Authority
46. (1) The Chairman may, at any time, convene a meeting of the Authority.

(2) The Chairman shall convene such meetings of the Authority as, in his
opinion, are necessary for the efficient performance of its functions.

(3) At a meeting of the Authority, 2 members constitute a quorum.

(4) The Chairman shall preside at all meetings of the Authority at which he is
present.

(5) If the Chairman is not present at a meeting of the Authority, the members
present shall elect one of their number to preside at that meeting.

(6) Questions arising at a meeting of the Authority shall be determined by a
majority of the votes of the members present.

(7) The person presiding at a meeting of the Authority has a deliberative
vote, and, in the event of an equality of votes, also has a casting vote.

(8) The Authority may regulate the conduct of proceedings at its meetings as
it thinks fit and shall cause minutes of those proceedings to be kept.

(9) In this section-

   (a)  a reference to the Chairman shall, if a person is acting as Chairman,
        be construed as a reference to the person so acting;

   (b)  a reference to a member shall, if a person is acting as a member, be
        construed as including a reference to the person so acting.
