- (1)
- The Commission may decide, in writing, to waive the Commonwealth's right
to recover from a person the whole or a part of a debt due to the Commonwealth
under this Act.
Note: If the Commission waives the Commonwealth's rights to recover, this is a
permanent bar to recovery of the debtthe debt effectively ceases to
exist.

- The decision takes effect:
(a) on the day set out in the decision (which may be before, on or after the
day the decision is made); or
(b) if no day is set out in the decisionon the day the decision is
made.
