Commonwealth Numbered Acts
* This Act sets out the entitlements of holders of a Life Gold Pass.
* The
basic rules are as follows:
(a) a former Prime Minister is entitled to a
maximum of 40 domestic return trips per year;
(b) other pass-holders are entitled to a maximum of 25
domestic return trips per year.
* This Act also deals with travel by:
(a) spouses of pass-holders; and
(b) the widows and widowers of deceased pass-holders; and
(c) the spouses of sitting members who have satisfied the qualifying
period for the issue of a Life Gold Pass.
* If a superannuation order
is made under the Crimes (Superannuation Benefits) Act 1989 in
relation to a person convicted of a corruption offence, the person is
disqualified from Life Gold Pass travel and severance travel.
