MARRIAGE AMENDMENT ACT 1985 No. 7, 1985 - SECT 18

18. Section 56 of the Principal Act is amended-
(a) by omitting "A marriage" and substituting "Subject to sub-section (2), a
marriage"; and

   (b)  by adding at the end the following sub-section:



"(2) Sub-section (1) does not apply in relation to a marriage where, if the
marriage were a marriage to and in relation to which Division 2 of this Part
applied, the marriage would be void by reason of a circumstance set out in
paragraph 23B (1) (d).".
