The Parliament of Australia enacts:

INTERSTATE ROAD TRANSPORT AMENDMENT ACT 2000
- SECT 1   Short title  

        This Act may be cited as the Interstate Road Transport Amendment Act
2000.

INTERSTATE ROAD TRANSPORT AMENDMENT ACT 2000
- SECT 2   Commencement  

        This Act commences immediately after the commencement of the Interstate
Road Transport Charge Amendment Act 2000.

INTERSTATE ROAD TRANSPORT AMENDMENT ACT 2000
- SECT 3   Schedule(s)  

        Each Act that is specified in a Schedule to this Act is amended or repealed
as set out in the applicable items in the Schedule concerned, and any other
item in a Schedule to this Act has effect according to its terms.

1  Subsection 3(1) (definition of trailer)
Repeal the definition, substitute:

trailer means a vehicle that is built to be towed, or is towed,
by a motor vehicle, but does not include a motor vehicle that is being towed.
