Particular rights of intervention of Minister
60. (1) The Minister may, on behalf of the Commonwealth, by giving written
notice to the Registrar of the Court, intervene in the public interest in a
proceeding before the Court in a matter arising under this Act.

(2) Where the Minister intervenes in a proceeding before the Court, the Court
may, in spite of section 347, make an order as to costs against the
Commonwealth.

(3) Where the Minister intervenes in a proceeding before the Court, then, for
the purposes of the institution and prosecution of an appeal from a judgment
given in the proceeding, the Minister shall be taken to be a party to the
proceeding.

(4) Where, under subsection (3), the Minister institutes an appeal from a
judgment, a court hearing the appeal may, in spite of section 347, make an
order as to costs against the Commonwealth.
