Insurance (Agents and Brokers) Act 1984 No. 75 of 1984 - SECT 48
Regulations
48. (1) The Governor-General may make regulations, not inconsistent with this
Act, prescribing matters-
(a) required or permitted by this Act to be prescribed; or
(b) necessary or convenient to be prescribed for carrying out or giving
effect to this Act, and, in particular, prescribing-
(c) penalties, not exceeding a fine of $500, in respect of offences
against the regulations; and
(d) fees payable in respect of any matter under this Act or the
regulations.
(2) The regulations may make different provisions with respect to persons
carrying on business in relation to life insurance business and persons
carrying on business in relation to general insurance business.
