Insurance (Agents and Brokers) Act 1984 No. 75 of 1984 - SECT 18

Interpretation
PART III-REGISTRATION OF INSURANCE BROKERS

18. (1) If this Act is extended to an external Territory, a reference in a
provision of this Part to the commencement of this Part shall, for the
purposes of the application of that provision in that Territory, be construed
as a reference to the commencement of the day on which this Act was extended
to that Territory or the commencement of this Part, whichever is the later.

(2) If the registration of a person as an insurance broker is suspended or
cancelled or expires, sections 26, 27 and 28 continue to apply in relation to
him or his estate in respect of matters that occurred before the suspension,
cancellation or expiry as if his registration had not been suspended or
cancelled or had not expired, as the case may be.
