HORTICULTURAL RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION ACT 1987 No. 166 of 1987 - SECT 6
Functions
6. The functions of the Corporation are:
(a) to investigate and evaluate the requirements for
horticultural research and development and, on the basis of such
investigation and evaluation:
(i) to prepare a research and development plan under section 26;
and
(ii) to review and revise the research and development plan;
(b) to prepare a research and development program under section 27 for
each financial year;
(c) to carry out, and co-ordinate and fund the carrying out of,
horticultural research and development projects;
(d) to monitor, and to report to the Parliament, the Minister and
Australian horticultural industries on,
horticultural research and development projects that are carried out
or funded, in whole or in part, by the Corporation; and
(e) such other functions in relation to Australian horticultural
industries as are conferred on the Corporation by or under this Act or
any other Act.
