HORTICULTURAL RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION ACT 1987 No. 166 of 1987 - SECT 23

23. (1) The Minister may terminate the appointment of the Chairperson or a
nominated member of the Corporation for misbehaviour or physical or mental
incapacity.

(2) If:

   (a)  the Chairperson or a nominated member of the Corporation becomes
        bankrupt, applies to take the benefit of a law for the relief of
        bankrupt or insolvent debtors, compounds with his or her creditors or
        makes an assignment of his or her remuneration for their benefit;

   (b)  the Chairperson or a nominated member of the Corporation, without
        reasonable excuse, contravenes section 22;

   (c)  the Chairperson of the Corporation is absent, except with the leave of
        the Minister, from 3 consecutive meetings of the Corporation; or

   (d)  a nominated member of the Corporation is absent, except with the leave
        of the Chairperson, from 3 consecutive meetings of the Corporation;
        the Minister shall terminate the member's appointment.
