HORTICULTURAL RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION ACT 1987 No. 166 of 1987 - SECT 15

15. (1) The members of the Corporation (other than the Executive Director)
shall be appointed by the Minister.

(2) The Minister shall not appoint a person to be the government member unless
the Minister is satisfied that the person has experience in, and knowledge of:

   (a)  the formulation of government policy; and

   (b)  public administration.

(3) The nominated members of the Corporation shall be appointed from persons
nominated by the Selection Committee under section 61.

(4) The Minister shall not appoint a person who has attained 65 years of age
as a member of the Corporation unless the Minister is satisfied that the
person has expertise required by the Corporation.

(5) The appointment of a person as a member of the Corporation is not invalid
because of a defect or irregularity in connection with the person's nomination
or appointment.
