Health Legislation Amendment Act (No. 2) 1983 No. 139 of 1983 - SECT 45

45. (1) Section 44 of the Principal Act is amended by omitting ''Permanent
Head'' (wherever occurring) and substituting ''Minister''.

(2) An opinion formed by the Permanent Head for the purposes of paragraph 44
(2) (b) of the Principal Act before the date of commencement of this section
has effect, on and after that date, as if it had been formed by the Minister
for the purposes of paragraph 44 (2) (b) of the Principal Act as amended by
this Act.

(3) An application or notice received by the Permanent Head as mentioned in
sub-section 44 (3) of the Principal Act before the date of commencement of
this section shall be taken, on and after that date, to have been received by
the Minister as mentioned in sub-section 44 (3) of the Principal Act as
amended by this Act.
