FAIR WORK ACT 2009 (NO. 28, 2009) - SECT 558

             (1)  The regulations may provide for a person who is alleged to have contravened a civil remedy provision to pay a penalty to the Commonwealth as an alternative to civil proceedings.

             (2)  The penalty must not exceed one‑tenth of the maximum penalty referred to in the relevant item in column 4 of the table in subsection 539(2) for contravening that provision.
