FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT 1982 No. 3 of 1982 - SECT 49

49. (1) A request under section 48 -

   (a)  shall be in writing and be expressed to be made in pursuance of this
section;

   (b)  shall specify an address in Australia to which a notice under this
        Part
may be sent to the claimant; and

   (c)  shall be sent by post to the agency or Minister, or delivered to an
officer of the agency or a member of the staff of the Minister, at an
address of the agency or of the Minister, as the case may be, that is an
address set out in regulations made for the purposes of section 19.

(2) A request under section 48 shall give particulars of the matters in
respect of which the claimant believes the record of information kept by the
agency or Minister is incomplete, incorrect, out of date or misleading and
shall specify the amendments that the claimant wishes to be made.
