FUTURES INDUSTRY ACT 1986 No. 72 of 1986 - SECT 16

Copies or extracts to be admitted in evidence
16. (1) Subject to this section, in any legal proceedings (whether proceedings
under this Act or otherwise), a copy of or extract from a book relating to a
matter mentioned in sub-paragraph 13 (3) (a) (vii), (viii), (ix), (x) or (xi)
is admissible in evidence as if it were the original book or the relevant part
of the original book.

(2) A copy of or extract from a book is not admissible in evidence under
sub-section (1) unless it is proved that the copy or extract is a true copy of
the book or the relevant part of the book.

(3) For the purposes of sub-section (2), evidence that a copy of or extract
from a book is a true copy of the book or part of a book may be given by a
person who has compared the copy or extract with the book or the relevant part
of the book and may be given either orally or by an affidavit sworn, or by a
declaration made, before a person authorised to take affidavits or statutory
declarations.
