ENDANGERED SPECIES PROTECTION ACT 1992 No. 194 of 1992 - SECT 79

79.(1) The Minister may, by instrument in writing, make an impact assessment
conservation order:

   (a)  prohibiting or restricting specified activities by the Commonwealth
        agency; or

   (b)  requiring the Commonwealth agency to take specified action; or

   (c)  subject to subsection (2), prohibiting or restricting specified
        activities by a person, being activities that constitute the whole or
        part of, or are connected with, an activity of the kind referred to in
        paragraph 78(b) that the person proposes to carry out.

(2) An order under paragraph (1)(c) must only relate to activities that the
Minister is satisfied:

   (a)  are proposed to be carried out before the end of the period referred
        to in paragraph 83(3)(a); and

   (b)  would, if carried out before the end of that period, frustrate the
        operation of the
        Environment Protection (Impact of Proposals) Act 1974. Note:
        Sections 86 and 100 prohibit contraventions of impact assessment
        conservation orders.
