ENDANGERED SPECIES PROTECTION ACT 1992 No. 194 of 1992 - SECT 38

38.(1) After considering the Advisory Committee's advice, the Minister may, in
writing, direct the Director to prepare:

   (a)  a draft recovery plan for a listed native species or a
        listed ecological community; or

   (b)  a draft threat abatement plan for a key threatening process.

(2) The direction must specify the period within which the draft plan is to be
prepared.

(3) The Director must comply with the direction.

(4) The Director must cause a copy of the direction to be published in the
Gazette.
