ENDANGERED SPECIES PROTECTION ACT 1992 No. 194 of 1992 - SECT 174

174. (1) Subject to subsection (2), the Director may provide financial
assistance to the governments of, and organisations in, foreign countries for
the purpose of assisting the recovery and conservation, in those countries, of
non-native species included in lists established under agreements specified in
Schedule 4.

(2) The assistance must be provided in accordance with directions given by the
Minister.

(3) Before giving a direction, the Minister must:

   (a)  have regard to any advice that the Advisory Committee has given to the
        Minister on the matter; and

   (b)  consult the Minister responsible for overseas development assistance.
