EXPORT MARKET DEVELOPMENT GRANTS ACT 1974 No. 154 of 1974 - SECT 28
Termination of office.
28. (1) The Governor-General may terminate the appointment of a member by
reason of misbehaviour or physical or mental incapacity.
(2) If a member-
(a) becomes bankrupt or applies to take the benefit of any law for the
relief of bankrupt or insolvent debtors, compounds with his creditors
or makes an assignment of his remuneration for their benefit;
(b) without reasonable excuse, fails to comply with his obligations under
section 31;
(c) being the Chairman-
(i) continues, for more than 14 days after the date of his
appointment, to be a director of a company or becomes, after
his appointment, a director of a company; or
(ii) engages in paid employment outside the duties of his office,
except with the approval of the Minister;
(d) being the Chairman, is absent from duty, except on leave of absence
granted by the Minister, for 14 consecutive days or for 28 days in any
12 months; or
(e) being a part-time member, is absent, except on leave of absence
granted by the Minister, from 3 consecutive meetings of the Board, the
Governor-General shall terminate his appointment.
