EMPLOYMENT, EDUCATION AND TRAINING ACT 1988 No. 80 of 1988 - SECT 57

57. (1) The Minister may, after consultation with the Chairperson of the
Board, appoint such Counsellors, not exceeding 4 in number, as the Minister
thinks necessary for the purpose of giving advice to:

   (a)  the Board on matters relating to the functions of the Board; and

   (b)  a Council on matters relating to the functions of the Council.

(2) A Counsellor appointed under subsection (1) shall give advice on such
matters as are referred to him or her, in writing, by the Board.

(3) A Counsellor:

   (a)  shall be appointed for such period, not exceeding 3 years, as is
        specified in the instrument of appointment; and

   (b)  is eligible for re-appointment.

(4) The Minister may, at any time, terminate the appointment of a Counsellor.
